Panoramic view of Makaraka Station with the homestead visible in the distance centre right. Taken from the hillside looking down into a valley and to hills behind with tussock grass and toi toi in the foreground. There is a belt of tall pine trees behind the house and another cluster in the centre left foreground. Horses and sheep are grazing in paddocks in front of the house.
