- Description
In the first of two frames a man stands at a podium and points to the map of New Zealand and Australia that hangs on the wall. He says that although there is a wide gulf between NZ and Australian wages, the gap is closing. In the second frame a member of the audience asks him if he is an economist and he replies that he is a tectonic plate scientist. Refers to the large wages gap between Australia. In 2006 wages in Australia were 30.7 percent higher than in New Zealand. The latest figures for this year show they are 27.6 percent higher.
