- Description
Shows Finance Minister Dr. Michael Cullen dressed as a clown, riding a unicycle across a rope tied very low off the ground. In the cartoon he is juggling a money bag in each of his hand - one labelled "short term" and the other "long term". He is also wearing a majigician's hat labelled "Budget '06". Prime Minister Helen Clark, also dressed as a clown and carrying a safety-net, looked on from the sideline. Cartoon refers to the balancing of short-term and long-term economic considerations as described in his interview with MG Business. Cartoon shows the rope as lowly tied as Cullen has foreshadowed a constrained budget for 2006.
