A seagull passes on the news to a dolphin that the government is repealing the Foreshore and Seabed Act. The dolphin replies ironically that this should have a profound effect on all of their lives. Refers to the decision to repeal the Foreshore and Seabed Act which the government says will not be done in a hurry. The National government appointed a panel to review the Act. It recommended its repeal and said interim legislation should be put in place until the politicians worked out a way to recognise Maori rights to coastal areas. The repeal of the Act is regarded as critical by the Maori Party.
