Description

Shows an Aztec structure at the top of which stands an Aztec king (Dr Alan Bollard) before a sacrificial alter labelled 'Reserve Bank'. He holds a knife and shouts the words 'To the gods of low inflation!' as two slaves whose wrists are bound climb the steps towards him. They have written on their backs the words 'Job growth' and 'Economic growth'. The king and a guard both have a '$' sign on the fronts of their headdresses. Refers to the notion that economic growth and job growth are sacrificed in the interests of low inflation. There is a global economic downturn currently.
