Lounge interior, Milford Hotel, Milford Sound. Shows a room with a carpeted floor and an unpainted wooden ceiling. Armchairs, couches, and tables are grouped around a fireplace. Photograph taken for the National Publicity Studios by K V Bigwood, in November or December 1954.
Original caption reads: "Milford Hotel, built in 1954. The unique fireplace in the lounge is made from greenstone boulders gathered from Poison and Anita Bays, Milford Sound, and grey stones from the Homer Tunnel."
