The cartoon shows Mike Moore, New Zealand's new ambassador to Washington, shaking hands with President Obama. Mike Moore asks President Obama if he knew that for a short time he was the much loved leader of his country and Obama replies 'Me too!' Refers to Mike Moore's being made the new ambassador to Washington. Mike Moore was prime minister for a few months in 1990 and was former Director-General of the World Trade Organization. President Obama's comment was made around the time of his first anniversay in power when his popularity was slipping mainly because of the health reforms; he had also just lost the apparently safe state of Massachusetts to the Republicans.
