TVNZ's Breakfast show host Paul Henry is 'playing the fall' as he walks a plank held by an arm representing 'TVNZ'. In a second version is the text 'Paul Henry learns about DIVErsity'; a third version has no text; a fourth version has the text 'The fall guy' and a fifth version has the text 'Taking a dive...... or just a fall'. Refers to TVNZ's Breakfast show host Paul Henry who was stood down and who consequently resigned after his provocative style went too far and he was accused of making racist remarks on two occasions in two weeks; the first was when he asked PM John Key whether the next Governor General would be a New Zealander, would look and sound like a New Zealander, (the current GG is Sir Anand Satyanand who is NZ born); and the second remark was when Henry joked about the name of the Indian Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. The cartoons suggest that TVNZ is not serious in its disciplining of Paul Henry who has a large and lucrative following.
