Includes illustrations (front cover by W Deverell) of the Wairakei Geyser, the Dragons; Mouth, the Champagne Cauldron, the Eagle's Nest, and Tongariro with a crater lake. There is an advertisement for the Geyser House Hotel, and a letter of recommendation from Dr F H D Allen of Napier.

Dated from the 1890s, based on the period in which W Deverell was illustrating tourism brochures.
