Description

View into the valley of the Tangahoe River, at the coast, with tall cliffs at the water's edge. A makeshift bridge has been erected and troops are crossing and continuing on up a steep path on the opposite bank. There is a tent with a cooking fire at the base of the steep path and there are several soldiers on horseback as well as horse-drawn drays
