Shows the ghost of Christmas Future standing on the bed of a man who cowers under the bedclothes in fear. The ghost warns that misers will face a bleak and joyless life. Alan Bollard, the Chief of the Reserve Bank is annoyed that his Christmas message is being highjacked. Refers to Alan Bollard's wishing everybody 'a very happy and cautious spending Christmas'. Mr Bollard said that interest rates, already the highest in the developed world, were going to remain where they are for longer and were unlikely to fall next year.
