Photographs relating to the Beach, Hirst, Horner, Woodward, and Barns families. There is also an aerial view of Hill and Molesworth streets dating from the 1930s, and 12 prints showing the construction of air raid shelters in Suva, Fiji, in 1942.
C H (Rex) Beach was an engineer who, in 1939, got the job of engineer for the Suva Town Board, Fiji. He was in Fiji until 1944, and in 1942 was responsable for the construction of the air raid shelters depicted in this collection.
