Description: Photographs of Nigeria taken in the cities of Kano, Kaduna, and Jos, all in Northern Nigeria, and Lagos on the south western coast of the country. Depicted are the people, houses, public buildings, cattle, donkeys, the Emir taking part in the festival of Sala Day in Kano and some of the associated events, tin mining, a camel train, market scenes, soldiers, street scenes, and dye pits at Kano. This album was compiled by Charles and Annie Beach for their sons, Neville, Roy, and Brian, who were left behind in New Zealand, to show them (in their words) "the peoples and lands we are living in..."
