Description

The scene shows Winston Peters, Minister of External Affairs and Leader of New Zealand First, rolling up his sleeves as though for a battle. He is eying two large pigs named 'Richwrong' and 'Fake' (Richwhite and Fay) who are terrorising two men from the Securities Commission. The reference to 'Shades of the Swinebox Inquiry' is a play on the sobriquet, the 'Winebox Inquiry'. Winston Peter has stepped up calls for a wide-ranging inquiry into the Tranz Rail insider trading case, claiming serious threats were made against the regulator and suggesting similar intimidation had influenced the 1990s Winebox inquiry into tax fraud.
