Description

'The Underzone' strip. Two penguins stand on the edge of an Antarctic ice shelf which is named 'Cullen's surplus'. A lump of ice that represents 'tax cuts' breaks off the shelf and falls into the sea. One of them says that the political climate is creating a few cracks and the other says that they shouldn't expect a meltdown. Refers to the 'tax cut' issue that causes the two main political parties to square off against one another in the run up to the 2008 election but there is also a comment about the melting of the ice at a faster rate than usual in the Antarctic because of global warming.
