Head and shoulders three-quarters frontal portrait of Cook in uniform in an oval surround
After the oil painting by Webber now in the National Portrait Gallery, London. The portrait was painted at the Cape of Good Hope on Cook's third voyage, on the way out to the Pacific from England.
Another copy held in the bound volume in the Rare Voyages Collection, 'Discoveries in the the Northern Hemispher. Cook's Voyages' on spine. Volume 1 plate 10.
