Description

Political cartoons from the end of the ministry of Peter Fraser, and the lead up to the 1949 election in which he was defeated by Sidney Holland. These cartoons mainly address Holland's link to the British conservatives (which McNamara had a very negative view of), and general electioneering. Other cartoons relate to the "baby boom" that occurred after the war, the political situation in Britain, and an electricity crisis. Some illustrations of animals are also included.
