An arrangement of text on both sides of a small flier. It begins by praising the New Zealanders for being needed "when the going becomes rough", as at Greece, Crete, El Alamein, Tobruk and Ain el Gazala. Then it recalls Cassino where "such an alarming number of brave New Zealanders threw away their lives". It warns that now, as the New Zealand troops approach Faenza, "every yard towards that town must be paid for with the life blood of hundreds of New Zealanders ... This cursed Italian soil must be fertilized with the precious blood of New Zealand Youth ... For New Zealand it is a pathetic case of all give and no take!".
The New Zealand Army 2nd Division succeeded in capturing Faenza on 14 December.
