"There was no holocaust and I won the Iranian presidency fair and square..." 16 June 2009
- Date
- 2009
- Reference
- DCDL-0011510
- Description
Cartoon shows Iran President Ahmadinejad declaring that there was no holocaust and that he won the presidential election fair and square. The shadow he casts appears to be that of Pinocchio whose nose grew longer every time he lied. Refers to the overwhelming win by Ahmadinejad in the Iran elections and the violent protests because of a strong belief that the election was fraudulent. Ahmadinejad also denies the holocaust.
