- Description
The scene shows a vast empty stretch of desert with a set of footprints trekking backwards and forwards across it. Where the footsteps end stands Israel's Foreign Minister, Silvan Shalom, with a suitcase at his feet labelled 'Israel'; he is saying 'We apologise.' On the hilltop in the distance is a large signpost saying 'Spy scandal in NZ - March 2004'. Refers to the apology that has been given at last, by the Israeli government, after Prime Minister, Helen Clark imposed diplomatic sanctions on Israel after two suspected Mossad agents were jailed for six months for trying on false grounds to obtain a New Zealand passport.
