Portrait of a Maori woman named Annie Chadwick, circa 1890s, photographed by Arthur James Iles. Daughter of Miria Merritt (nee Parata) and Joseph Merritt from Whakatane region. She wears a kahu kiwi (kiwi feather cloak) about her shoulders, and a korowai (tag cloak) around her waist.
