- Date

- Description
The cartoon shows a desolate cemetery scene with crosses stretching into the distance and an ominous sky. A mother carries a small child and leads another by the hand. A cross in the foreground reads 'Lest we forget' and additional text suggests that 'ever since men have taken up arms in warfare' millions of women and children have suffered. It goes on to ask when they will be honoured and when the horror will be over. Refers to the honouring of soldiers lost to warfare by ANZAC Day commemorations.
