'Zimbabwe - election result'. 6 April, 2008
- Date
- 2008
- Reference
- DCDL-0006296
- Description
Shows a flea-ridden rat with the face of Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe. The rat is near a piece of stinking cheese that represents the 2008 election result in a room which is cracking apart. Refers to the dire situation facing Zimbabwe because Mugabe is refusing to hand over power to the opposition in spite of his having lost the government election and very likely the presidential election also. The opposition MDC, led by Morgan Tsvangirai, is ready to take over as the country slides into economic ruin and starvation.
