The group includes (left to right): Hariata Tutapuiti, wife of Hare Pomare; Paratene Te Manu; Tekerei Ngawaka; Wiremu Te Wana; Hirini Pakia; William Jenkins; Horomana Te Atua; Kameriara Te Hautakiri Wharepapa; Hapimana Ngapiko; Reihana Taukawa; Hariata Te Iringa, wife of Hirini; Ngahuia; Kihirini Te Tuahu. From a photograph taken by Vernon Heath in London. The chiefs and their wives are dressed in traditional costume and holding various weapons.
