Contains cosmological whakapapa and related notes, and whakapapa from canoe commanders to people alive in the 19th century; also contains some waiata; there are some loose sheets at the beginning of the book including a letter from Iraia Te Whaiti with regard to land issues
Also contains whakapapa copied from a book belonging to Matenga Te Hiko of Nagti Toa giving ancestry from Pikauterangi of the Ngati Te Maunu and Ngati Kuri sub-tribes.
