Hastings Street, Napier, showing commercial buildings on both sides of the street, particularly the Criterion Hotel on the left. Next door to the hotel is the West End Tailor. The street is busy with pedestrians, cars and horses with carts. A sign in the middle ground reads: `Farndon Park. City Band Picnic and Sports. Boxing Day. Admission [unreadable]' Photograph taken circa 1900 by an unidentified photographer.
