- Description
Shows Prime Minister, Helen Clark, and Finance Minister, Michael Cullen, in a little dinghy named 'Labour'. Between them is a big bag of money, presumably Michael Cullen's budget surplus which he is unwilling to dispense in tax cuts. Above them is a huge dark ominous-looking cloud of 'rising prices', 'power cuts', 'economic recession' and 'high interest rates' from which lightening spits and the rain begins to pour. Helen Clark, who is rowing the boat, tells Michael Cullen not to worry as they have not far to go now as they row past a signpost pointing to the 'election'. Refers to the fierce competition between Labour and National in the run up to the 2008 elections.
