Original caption reads: "Drama in a nasty side-stream. Bones, Bill & Alan "fishing for" Basil Honour who was well and truly "over" with his pack holding him down in the roaring flood."
Additional captions read: "Look like an eel-spearing expedition but was nearly more serious" and "this was only a side-stream, the main stream had yet to come".
