- Description
Shows the English judge Sir John Richardson, father of Bishop George Augustus Selwyn's wife, seated in an upright wooden chair with armrests. In his right hand he holds a piece of paper and in his left hand, resting in his lap, he holds a pair of reading glasses. A small table stands at the right, holding a sloped bookstand supporting an open book, another open book on the tabletop, and a small handbell. Richardson wears a double-breasted jacket with a high wide collar.
