Album of photographs of New Zealand Mounted Rifles in Palestine ca 1917-1919, possibly compiled by Trooper Edward George Watson. Includes photographs of Jerusalem, Mount of Olives, Bethany, Jericho, Jordan Valley, Jordan River (including Australian soldiers fording the River), Es-Salt road, Suweilah, Hedjaz Railway, Jewish colonies at Ekron and Deiran, Ludd, Richon-es-Sion, Surafend and Gaza. Also shown are Turkish military posts, personnel, equipment and aircraft; a Circassian officer, horse racing, and a damaged tank; Australian graves for Sergeant Brook and Trooper Radburn; and New Zealand Brigade on trek.
