- Description
A huge road roller driven by Nick Smith, Minister for ACC, leaves the road in cracked and broken fragments which represent 'ACC entitlements.' A woman who represents the ACC stares in disbelief at the mess the roller is making of the road while Nick Smith Tells her that he doesn't think she has handled the sex-abuse counselling issue well at all. Nick Smith has said on the radio "I'm not satisfied that ACC has handled the issue of counselling services for sensitive claims that well. I'm going to await the final report from the independent clinical panel before drawing final conclusions." The issue is about the number of counseling sessions claimants are entitled to and the speed in which claimants are seen. An independent clinical panel has been set up to review the corporation's approach. Sexual abuse victims will now get 16 hours of counselling provided by ACC after support was taken away last year.
