'The Politician' cartoon strip. A colleague asks the politician if he has seen the new 'Aged Care Commissioner' around anywhere because he has parked his car across the walking frame ramp. A damning report on aged care which says New Zealand needs a "revolution" in caring for older people was launched in Parliament on Friday with the support of Kapiti Grey Power. The Greens' Sue Kedgley and Labour's Winnie Laban based their report on more than 450 submissions and 20 public meetings organised by Grey Power. One of the 14 recommendations was the establishing of an Aged Care Commission.
