Description

An arrangement of text and illustrations showing a baboon on a bicycle on top of a ladder supported on the legs of a clown, two inset photographic portraits of baboons, and a scene on the African savannah.

At top of poster is an advertisement for a screening of Joan Crawford in "Our dancing daughters" (1928 release).

Dated 1929 because of the date of release of "Our dancing daughters" (1928), and a perpetual calendar.

The Singapore free press and mercantile advertiser (1884-1942), 2 November 1932, Page 5, shows a photograph of Pedrini with one of his baboons, and states that it is his first appearance in Malaya. http://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/newspapers/Digitised/Page/singfreepressb19321102-1 .1.5.aspx
