Description

Shows Prime Minister Helen Clark and Dr Michael Cullen as a First World War soldier dressed in combat gear and holding a rifle. She is in a trench not far from a great roll of barbed wire beyond which explosions rent the air. A soldier (John Key) with an 'N' (National) on his pack taps her on the shoulder and rather timidly offers help. The explosions represent the current financial crisis and the cartoon refers to the wisdom of a bipartisan effort to manage its effects on the New Zealand economy.
