Beginning at Snell's Beach opposite Kawau Island the journey is through the Rodney, Whangarei and Kaipara districts. The images in the album end with Muriwai Beach south of the Kaipara Harbour. Included is a photograph of the gravestone of Gordon Coates at Matakohe, public war memorials at Waipu, the station and railway yards at Waiotira, and the public libraries at Leigh, Kaipara flats, and Te Arai
