- Description
Environment Minister, Chris Carter, transmogrified into a 'loose canon', asks if he can tale two months sick leave. The Labour Party official sitting at the desk says that he can take as long as he likes. Text above reads 'A loose canon checks in...' Refers to the scandal that has caused Environment Minister, Chris Carter, to be suspended from the Labour Party after he confessed to responsibility for an anonymous letter, sent through parliament's internal mail system, that implied that Labour leader, Phil Goff, would be challenged before the next election. Suspended Labour MP, Chris Carter, is taking two months of taxpayer-funded sick leave from Parliament. Friends say he is stressed and exhausted - neither mentally unbalanced nor having a nervous breakdown, as had been implied by other colleagues.
