An elderly man and woman sit in front of a fire wishing they could manage their television more effectively. The woman says that their local candidates are going to be interviewed on Channel North and the man says that he will vote for anyone of them who wants to come and show them how to tune their TV so that they can see it. Refers to the instructions to enable Northland viewers to tune into Channel North. May refer also to the decision by the government to promote by way of the a shared digital platform to bring digital free-to-air television to New Zealand and to promote the benefits to viewers of making the change to receiving free-to-air broadcasts by digital rather than the existing ageing analogue system. Sometime between 2012 and 2015 the government will switch-off analogue transmissions and henceforth all TV reception will be from digital transmissions only.
