A man tries to sleep with an enormous pile of money stuffed under his mattress, some of which has fallen out onto the floor. His wife sits up in bed and complains that he couldn't sleep when they had the money in investments either. Refers to the economic crisis as banks and finance house fail, starting in Wall Street but spreading around the world. This man has withdrawn his investments and is keeping the money under his mattress because he is scared that wherever he invests it will be sure to fail.
