Description

The leader of the Labour Party, Phil Goff, holds a shepherd's crook in one hand and in his other a strand of wool that is unravelling from a sheep that represents the Ratana Church. Phil Goff tries to convince people that Labour is still close to the Ratana flock. Refers to the annual Ratana Church celebration which is traditionally attended by the main political parties in an attempt to win their hearts and minds. Ratana has traditionally supported Labour but the cartoon suggests that Labour should not be so confident of that support at the moment.
