Two men on horseback in right foreground, fences beyond, with willow trees, large mill buildings with a tall chimney, a two-storied house, rolling countryside with open fields, other houses in the right background and volcanic cones in the background.
The main flax-mill building was constructed in 1849. It became the Hobson's Bridge Brewery in 1850, 8 years before Kinder made this drawing
