Description: Historical photographs relating to the Taranaki Herald, the Taranaki News, the Taranaki Daily News, the Daily News, and Taranaki Newspapers Ltd. Most of the images are of buildings occupied by the various newspapers at different times between 1852 to 1986. There is a group photograph of the Taranaki Herald staff in 1909, and another of the staff of the Taranaki Daily News in 1935. Nine images are of people associated with Taranaki Newspapers Ltd and were taken during the opening of their new building on the 30th of January 1986. Quantity: 21 b&w original photographic print(s).

Description: Men associated with the Auckland Star and New Zealand Newspapers Ltd such as Sir Henry Brett, T W Leys, Sir Cecil Leys, Eric Vernon, G T Upton, Ross Sayers, E H Rhodes, and Sir William Goodfellow. Two photographs show the street front of the Wellington office of New Zealand Newspapers Ltd in 1956. Staff events such as the inauguaration of the Provident Fund in 1927, celebrating the purchase of 51% of BPI Systems Ltd in 1985, celebrating the launch of the "new look" Auckland Star in 1983, new members of the NZ News Ltd 25-year Club, Auckland Star newspaper boys and girls, and unidentified group photographs of management. Many of the other images were taken to be published in the Star. They include people and events in the news, events sponsored by the Auckland Star such as Christmas parties and garage sales, a new school of cookery, the delivery of newspapers by air drops, and a record of technical changes in the Star's printing shop.
