- Description
Shows President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, reading a speech from a paper that is so long that an assistant has to hold the bulk of it. Mugabe says that having to make a victory speech is so unexpected that he has had limited time to prepare. In fact Mugabe was the only contender after his opponent, Morgan Tsvangirai, dropped out for fear of adding to the violence expected during the election and Mugabe obviously had his speech well-prepared.
