- Description
The cartoon shows Colonel Gaddafi of Libya with an oil tank on his head and derricks sticking out of his hair; he is thinking 'Of all the dictatorships in all the world, why did they have to walk into mine?' Context - Libya's oil reserves are the largest in Africa and the 9th largest in the world but attacks by Colonel Gaddafi's forces on oil producing fields and infrastructure in the rebel-held eastern region in early April has raised the spectre that the country's oil production will be offline indefinitely while the civil war rages on.
