The cartoon shows a teacher who is holding a newspaper that reports 'Key issues pay cut challenge to teachers'. She says to Prime Minister John Key who stands nearby wearing a t shirt bearing the words 'political rorting' 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours!'. Refers to the challenge laid down to teachers that if they sacrifice a pay cut support teachers can have one. Support staff in schools are very poorly paid. Mr Key said only a limited amount of money was available and trade-offs had to be made, including in wage negotiations.
