New job for Winston? 'Ho!' 10 November, 2008.
- Date
- 2008
- Reference
- DCDL-0008581
- Description
Shows former leader of ACT and Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters as Santa Claus. He holds a large card that reads 'HO!' and the text suggests that being Santa Claus could be a suitable job for Winston Peters. Refers to the fact that Winston Peters lost his Tauranga seat in the 2008 election and that his party did not reach the 5% threshold required to gain a seat in parliament. The 'HO!' card is a joke about the 'NO!' card that Winston Peters showed to journalists who kept asking him whether he had received donations from millionaire businessman Owen Glenn.
