Starship Hospital. "Robin Hood?" "Robbin' the taxpayer, more like!" 15 December, 2007
- Date
- 2007
- Reference

- Description
Shows Winston Peters, Leader of New Zealand First, dressed as Robin Hood and swinging on a rope into the lobby of Starship Hospital. He drops a large bag labelled 'NZ First $158,000' with a 'thunk!' onto the floor. One nurse exclaims that he is a 'Robin Hood' while the second comments that he is 'Robbin' the taxpayer'. Refers to Winston Peters' attempt to donate the $158,000 that he was required to return to the government coffers after overspending by that much during the last election campaign. Robin Hood was famous for robbing the rich to pay the poor which doesn't quite fit in this instance but close..
