- Date
- 2009
- Reference
- DCDL-0012913
- Description
The cartoon shows a rocket that represents the '2025 Taskforce Report' and that has the head of former National PM Don Brash as its nose. The rocket is fizzing away but is prevented from taking off because it is attached to a large anchor with the face of Prime Minister John Key. The '2025 Taskforce' was set up to work out ways in which New Zealand could close the economic gap with Australia. The report contains radical right wing solutions and is being shelved for the moment by the government.
