- Description
Shows a man with a camera standing in the shallows at the beach with his camera. He excitedly tells a seagull nearby that he has never done anything like this before. Text above reads 'Tsunami spotter'. Refers to the tsunami warning on Sunday 28 February 2010 after the previous day's massive 8.8 earthquake in Chile. In spite of very good management by New Zealand's Civil Defence there were many people who ignored the warnings to keep away from the beach.
