The cartoon shows an aborigine and a kiwi sitting on top of a pile of rubbish that is added to by a fish skeleton that Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd throws from his dining table. The aborigine advises the kiwi to get used to it as he has survived on them for years. Text above quotes boss of the Reserve Bank Alan Bollard who said 'We can't catch Australia... we should focus more on taking advantage of the crumbs that fall from Australia's table...' Refers to John Key's promise to get rid of the economic gap between New Zealand and Australia before 2025 and Alan Bollard's opinion on the subject.
