'08 election campaign. 31 July, 2007
- Date
- 2007

- Description
The scene is the starting line for the 2008 elections and Prime Minister, Helen Clark and Leader of the Opposition, John Key, are getting ready to start the race. Helen Clark who is encased in a tortoise shell which is mounted on tank treds appears to be spraying her armpit with a can of CRC while John Key, who with long ears and a fluffy tail is crouched like a hare is spraying his breath with breath freshener and carrying a map. Refers to initial preparations for the 2008 general election in which Helen Clark is seen as having quite a lot of baggage, hence the tortoise and the CRC, and John Key is seen as having freshness but lack of experience, hence the breath freshener and the map.
